HISTORY
Arkane Jewellery was established in 1989. Now in it’s 34th year of trading, Arkane continues to stay true to its founding principles – to produce unique, individually designed pieces of work, all of which contain something of the maker about them. The past three decades have seen many changes. New workshops, changing fashions and an increased range of work have all had their influence on the direction that Arkane has taken.
DESIGN
Most of the pieces continue to be influenced by Anglo-Saxon design and culture, featuring animals and natural forms, a style which has never ceased to be an inspiration. Inspired by ancient works, the pieces are still created with a contemporary feel.
RANGE
Arkane originally specialised in one-off brooches, pins and buckles cast in silver. Large bold one-off cast silver and bronze pieces still feature strongly alongside more delicate pieces in all precious metals and mixed metals, which combine colours and textures. Pieces currently for sale can be found under the New Work tab whilst past work can be viewed in the gallery section or from the main menu. Designs of larger pieces are never repeated ensuring you will have a truly unique piece but similar designs can be made to order.
COMMISSIONS
Commissions are welcomed, to your own design or designed especially for you, to any style and in a wide range of materials. All pieces containing any precious metals are hallmarked and can also be engraved with a design or wording of your choice.
Visits to the workshop are currently not possible: please contact us if you have any queries on how you can currently view work or discuss a commission.
